South Asia conference

Earlier this month the South Asia Research Facility (SARF),under the South Asia Node worked in collaboration with AusAID to hold the South Asia: Environment and Human Security* Conference focusing on the challenges South Asia faces due to global climate change.

More than 150 enthusiastic people attended the event on both days to hear a lively series of authoritative speakers. The event attracted plenty of media interest and great coverage with the ABC.

A range of eminent speakers from the region provided important updates on recent developments with presentations and discussion on critical environment and human security issues.
